Methotrexate: oral, subcutaneous or intramuscular?
Post Body

Until last month I was taking 6MP (for about 15 years), along with Humira. But my new GI doesn't like my liver values, and is concerned about me continuing two anti-TNF alpha drugs, because of hepato-splenic T-cell leukemia, though the data on it are still sparse.

In the couple of weeks I have been off the 6MP, my arthritis is back. I can not comfortable go up or down stairs because of my right knee and hip. Clearly, this is cause for concern. Who knows what things will be like in another month or so?

I am going to ask him to consider methotrexate, chiefly for its anti-arthritic properties. From my reading, injection sounds like the better way to go. I would be interested in hearing your experiences, good and bad with MTX with/without Humira.
