Post Body

Hello all,

I am working from a pattern I found on Ravelry. I do not understand the note below.

Note: When you work 2 sc into the free loops of the foundation chain, work your first sc inserting your hook under one loop and the second one inserting hook under the junction of the current loop and next loop where they cross. When working the third sc into the last loop, dig your hook a little deeper. This will close any hole.

I get the first sc. I dont understand directions for the 2nd sc. Where am I inserting my hook to start/end the stitch? When I interpret the directions and do sc #2, things look wonky.

Also, "dig a little deeper" on sc #3?

I am unsure what the writer is explaining.

I know what a sc is and how to do it, this is just my first project outside of practicing stitches.

Unsure what info to include and if I can link to the pattern. Willing to provide more info if needed.

I wonder if it was…I have no idea how to check.

I totally understand now. No stitching twice in a loop (I do have three loops from a chain of 4.)

Make sure I grab enough to close the hole in sc3.

I really appreciate you! Birthday is on Friday and I am sure he will be impressed 😅 Thank you so much!
