can i use these yarns together for a mosaic blanket?

i’m planning to make the bernat mosaic baby blanket using lb pound of love and lb mandala ombré. the 4” gauge is off by a stitch, but i was planning on bumping up a hook size to 5.5mm since it’s my first mosaic. i will definitely be swatching but didn’t want to get my hopes up before i started. am i on the right track?
