Lit/Research recommendations for the commodification of hobbies and self-marketing/branding under capitalism?
Post Body

I recently read this Vox article on the commodification of the creative self and having to put yourself out there by marketing yourself like a corporation on social media, and I resonated with it deeply. I wanted to look into it more, but I couldn't find any particular scholarly sources on this as I mainly saw opinion articles online. I was wondering if any of you knew any particular literature or research regarding this topic.

Thanks in advance!
