Would Glen McGrath be as dominant today?
Post Body

I wanna float something by you all today in light of Captain Pats 10’fer. I’m gonna caveat this by saying I’m genuinely shit at cricket myself, all my steaks are half cooked and often so are my takes. Josh Hazelwood is a brilliant line and length bowler who can occasionally get smacked around because, even when it’s in a good area, the fact that it’s in a consistent area is enough for a talented batter to predict and capitalise on it. I think Hazelwood is the most like GM so my question is would he have the same problem with today’s batters? Even at test level they don’t have the same defensive mindset that batters used to have especially against Australia.

Having said all of that this take might be shit and class might be permanent and I might be sounding like a bloke who is shit at cricket!

In which case carry on!
