Which horror film has the best portrayal of mental illness that kinda related, resonated, or triggered u?
For me, The Babadook and Black Swan immediately come to mind. The Babadook masterfully explores grief, depression, and the struggles of single parenthood through the story of Amelia and Sam.
Also, Black Swan dives deeply into the pressure of perfectionism and the many disorders that come with it. Natalie Portman’s portrayal of a ballerina losing her grip on reality was a wake up call for me in many aspects...
