To make things clear, I’m not talking about gyftr. I love it, except for them nerfing the Amazon Pay Limit to 10K monthly.

I’m talking about the Reward Multiplier website by Amex itself, where firstly there are multiple conditions to each purchase and the most annoying of them all is the 120 day period after which the bonus points will get credited.

Considering I only get 1x reward points initially, and the transaction doesn’t show whether it was a reward multiplier transaction or not, I took this up with customer support. On speaking to customer care, they informed me that there’s no way for them to track which was reward multiplier or not, and that the rewards team will credit the bonus points post 120 days.

All I wanted was a confirmation that it was a reward multiplier transaction, and I didn’t mind waiting the 120 days.

But now there’s no way to know if the transaction actually went through as a reward multiplier transaction or not, and I need to wait 120 days to find out. I’m literally recording dates and transactions in my notes rn.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Or how has your experience been with reward multiplier?
