Cash Advance Question and use cases
Post Body

Good Morning Everyone,

I have a question. Would using your credit card to send money on cash app be considered a cash advance?

Long story short my friend needed money and said he would pay me back the next day. "alright cool" I sent him money and then he sent it back as he said he would the next day.

The money went into my bank account. So that had me thinking.

Could you use this method to get cash from your credit card? As far as I know, it is showing as a purchase rather than a cash advance.

A better example would be you paying off all your bills and something inconvenient happens... let's say a car accident and you need $500 from your bank account to pay the deductible. You don't have that so you take money from your credit card to pay for it. Then use your paycheck to pay back your credit card as you usually would.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance
