Post Body

Hi, I’m a 20 year old college student, I work at Chipotle. I’m thinking of getting my third credit card and move up the credit card ladder. I’m thinking of getting my first Amex. Also I’m planning a trip to Mexico in January and a trip to Greece in the summer so these Sign Up bonuses would be helpful.

Current Cards -Discover It $3,500 limit -Chase Freedom $3,000 limit

Fico Score -749 (According to Discover Scorecard)

Oldest Account Age: 1 year 8 months

Chase 5/24 status: I have applied and got accepted for my Chase Freedom Card in April, I have had it for 3 months now.

Average Spending: Dining $331 Groceries (Planning on giving my parents a card for groceries to earn points from them, there not too big on credit cards so they only use one. $800 monthly) Gas $208 Travel $20

Open to business cards: No

What’s the purpose of your next card: To move up in the credit card ladder game. I’m thinking of getting my first Amex card. I just received my passport, thinking of traveling more, planning a trip to Mexico in January, and a trip to Greece in the summer.

Do you have any cards you’ve been looking at? Getting a first Amex or getting another chase card. I thinking of these cards Amex Everyday or Hilton Honors Amex or Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? I primarily spend on dining and gas. But I’m thinking to give my card to my parents for grocery shopping to rack up on points.
