Edit: I spoke to a helpful service rep with Barclays, they told me that there has been many complaints about this. I kept my barclays/AA brochure with the 6 digit promo code and Intitials. This should probably be a TSA to all apllicants.

Hey, applied for a Red World Elite card with a promo code from my American Airlines flight where they said the 1st year fee would be waived.

I was charged a $99 fee this month and after 3 calls with Barclays customer support they say it is not in the terms. I never get angry at customer support but this is fucking bullshit. I literally have the original pamphlet I was given.

Trying to call American airlines to see if anything can be done, I have a sceenshot from the 3rd of janiary where they had the 1st year intro free. It's ridiculous my fee won't get waived.
