I have an AmEx Business Gold card for which I need to meet a certain amount of spend to get a sign-up bonus. I won't naturally meet this spend.
I'm trying to think of something similar to manufactured spend, but this is different because I have the money in my account to put through a charge, for example on my own system, and pay for it, and float it for a period of time until I get the sign-up bonus, then return that charge back to my card.
Put another way, if I purchase something (digital/returnable), pay for that purchase, wait some amount of time (90 days?), and get the bonus, can I then return the digital purchase, and still keep the points, or will they back out the points after giving them to me?
I will be spending a lot on this card, it's just that the deadline to spend snuck up on me and I don't have another time for natural purchases before it's over.
