I only apply for cards when I have a pre-qualified offer to reduce the chance of blowing a hard pull for no reason.
That being said...
FICO 8: 740
Credit Karma: EQ 710 TU 702
5/24 Status: 3/24, last cards were in February and March
Income: $65k
I tried the pre-qualified feature for Chase and Citi. Nada. Not surprised by Chase since they seem so risk adverse. My two cards in 1 year is living on the wild side for them but I was surprised by Citi.
Credit Karma has my chances of getting the Citi DC as very good. CSP as fair.
And the only direct mailer's I've received lately are from Discover and BBVA. Not interested in those cards.
How risky is applying without a pre-qualified offer? Do my chances increase using Credit Karma since they get a cut? Thanks!
