Hi everyone, I’ve been managing my credit for a year and currently have a FICO score of 720. These are the cards and accounts I currently have: • Quicksilver One (Capital One) • Savor (Capital One) • Checking accounts with Wells Fargo and Chase.
Both of my Capital One cards have a $500 credit limit each. Despite almost a year of responsible use—with 100% on-time payments and keeping utilization under 10%—Capital One hasn’t increased my credit limit. Because of this, I’m looking to diversify and find cards that can also help me increase my overall credit limit.
Here are the options I’m considering: 1. Wells Fargo Autograph, Autograph Journey, or Active Cash: Not sure which would suit my profile best. 2. Chase Freedom Unlimited: To build a relationship with Chase and take advantage of their rewards. 3. American Express Everyday (possibly in a year): To join the Amex ecosystem and earn Membership Rewards.
I want to make smart decisions to diversify my credit portfolio, maximize benefits, and increase my total credit limit. What do you think of this strategy? Which cards would you recommend? Any advice on increasing my limit with Capital One or in general?
I’m also open to other card recommendations I may not have considered—I want to diversify
