Long story short, with a mix of reckless spending and failed business attempt, I am 9k in CC debt. I am thinking about doing a balance transfer, however, my dad in the past advised me not to open a balance transfer EVER as it would ruin my credit. everything he's told me seems to be true from what I have researched except for the balance transfer. maybe back in the day they caused a wreck to the credit score but idk. My credit score is currently in the 660s on credit karma, any advice is appreciated. thank you
Edit:
Chase card: 5000/7300 28.9 APR
Apple card 1400/1500 27.24
Discover card 2400/6500 28 APR
total limit across all accounts I have not incuded above and with no debt is is 35,000
