Hi! The state is Georgia. I was involved in a car wreck (0% liability). I got the rental car using the other party's insurance. The car i was in an accident was my company's car. My company's auto insurance has collision coverage but my personal auto insurance does not.
Enterprise told me that since i am the only person who can be listed as a driver, the insurance would have to pay for collision coverage because i did not have collision coverage on my personal insurance.
I told the adjuster over the phone. She accepted what I told her. Demanded my Declaration page of my personal insurance - which i emailed her.
I returned the rental car. The Enterprise now claims that the insurance refused to pay for DW(damage waiver/collision coverage) and they are charging my credit card. The insurance only paid for the rental itself.
I tried to call insurance adjuster, she doesn't respond. I filed a complaint on Enterprise headquarter. The complaint went straight back to the employee and told me i needed to grow up. Lol.
I am waiting to hear back from Enterprise 's regional manager.
I checked the rental agreement again. It says "no additional protection accepted", and there are list of three supplimental insurance under the "declined coverage". There is a final statement which states "i agree to pay for whatever charges that the third party refuses to pay"....
Should i just dispute this to my credit card? I dont want to commit a possible crime. I am doing everything by the book...
