CATEGORIES
* OK with category-specific cards?: No, I would prefer to use just 1 card.
* OK with rotating category cards?: No
* Estimate average monthly spend in the categories below. Only include what you can pay by credit card.
* Dining $: 173
* Groceries $: 416 (Walmart)
* Gas $: 95
* Travel $: I don't have a history of travel. That would be the point of this card.
* Do you plan on using this card abroad for a significant length of time (study abroad, digital nomad, expat, extended travel)?: I would like to travel abroad, but it would be for a week or 2, not extensive.
* Any other categories (examples: phone/internet, insurance) or stores (example: Amazon) with significant, regular credit card spend (the more you specify, the better): Internet, 50
* Any other significant, regular credit card spend you didn't include above?: I use my CC for most of my purchases, so monthly purchases on it would be about 2000.
* Can you pay rent by credit card? If yes, list rent amount and if there's a fee for paying by credit card: N/A
MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS (delete lines that don't apply)
* Current member of Amazon Prime?: Yes
* Current member of Chase, US Bank or any other big bank?: Chase (current CC), Well's Fargo (mortgage)
PURPOSE
* What's the purpose of your next card (choose ONE)?: (first credit card, balance transfer, saving money, travel rewards): Travel rewards. My initial instinct is to look for cards with airline miles that don't expire. I rarely travel, so that is why the not expiring part would be important.
* If you answered "travel rewards", do you have a preferred airline and/or hotel chain?: No, but I would like it to be applicable to domestic and international airlines. I've been studying Spanish for a long time, so one of my main travels goals would be to Spanish-speaking countries.
* Do you have any cards you've been looking at?: Just did a quick google search and feel a bit overwhelmed by the options, so that's why I'm here. Again, my 1st instinct is to find one with miles that don't expire, bc I'm not a frequent traveler.
Thanks!
