Hi there, I’ve used the template below with my info. I’m leaning towards a card for points but could be persuaded for cash back if it would be more lucrative with my spending habits.
Current cards: (lists cards, limits, opening dates): * CapitalOne Quicksilver- 8k limit, opened 7 years ago * Ulta Mastercard- 5k limit, opened 5 years ago
FICO score: 770
Oldest account age: 7 years
Chase 5/24 status: 0/24 (last card opened was 5 years ago)
Income: 70k
Average monthly spending:
- Dining: $200
- Groceries: $250 (Walmart pickup specifically)
- Gas: $100
- Travel: $50 (months with a trip will be more but I don’t travel frequently)
Other:
- Shopping (Amazon, Target, clothes, etc.)- $250
- Tolls- $50
- Entertainment- $100 (some months higher)
Open to business cards: No
What’s the purpose of your next card: Points (would like to maximize my spending on Walmart pickup for groceries and Shopping at Amazon) or Travel card (don’t travel frequently but would like to)
Do you have any cards you’ve been looking at: Venture X, AMEX Blue Card Everyday (cash back not points), Amazon Prime Card, CapitalOne Walmart card
Are you okay with category spending or do you want a general spending card: Either is fine
