So tonight I got a message from capital one that says I can now upgrade from my current non rewards credit card to a rewards credit card without applying and I'm automatically approved with no impact to my credit score or report. I just need to choose my card. My Interest rate and credit limit will remain the same.
I currently have a zero balance with a limit of $5,100 and these are the 3 cards I can pick from-
Quicksilver- 1.5% Cashback and $0 annual fee
Venture one- 1.25 miles per dollar and $0 annual fee
Venture - 2 miles per dollar and $95 annual fee
I don't travel by plane much, but I do fly about once a year. I also have plans to travel quite a bit more in the future, including a trip to Vegas in the spring.
A large majority of my credit card spending comes from groceries and entertainment activities.
Which one of these cards seems like the best option?
UPDATE - Thanks for the help everyone! I ended up choosing the quicksilver over the venture because my credit card spending doesn't justify the $95 annual fee.
