To give a little information: - My current cards are a Sofi world elite ($1,500 balance, November 2021), which is mostly used for gas station snacks (not fill ups) and Apple Pay online checkouts (~$50/month). I have not been impressed with the rewards from this card and mainly use it for the convenience of it being on my phone. My other card is a Discover cash back ($6,000 balance, March 2021). This card is used for all of my dining expenses, gas fill ups and groceries. Probably accounts for 85% of my total utilization. Happy with the rewards but know there’s better out there. - Oldest account 4 years, 6 months - Average 8-9% utilization - Credit score 742 - $65,000 income - 23 years old - Chase rule 2/5 - Monthly spend: $200 gas, $400 groceries, $300 dining, $150 other
Not sure if it makes a difference with debt ratios, but I graduated college in December of 2022 with ~$50k in debt. ~$12k of it is private so payments on that portion will start in May of this year.
My family is planning a vacation for Christmas 2023 and my girlfriend and I also enjoy traveling quite a bit so I figured it was time I get a travel card. What would be the best fit for me? I am willing to shift most of the utilization to this new card if there is a time period to meet bonus requirements.
Thanks in advance! :)
