I kinda get why mods are so hard on creators now.
Myself as a mod- deal with this situation often.
User: * posts a post that breaks the sub rules and is obvious karma farming *
Mod: * removes post and privately messages the user telling them how they can repost and have their post remain up. Detailing the issues with their last post *
User: * posts again with all the same issues *
Mod: ok… ban
User: you’re just targeting me because I’m a creator- that’s bullshit go choke.
(Breathe..)
• Mods deal with a lot of spam.
• A lot of the very new creators do indeed act like spam. (Posting the same pic and caption on multiple subreddits)
• Mods can tell when it’s a karma farming attempt. (At least pretend you’re trying to fit in… selfies on a dirt bike sub make no sense even if you’re vaguely holding a helmet.)
• Read the rules of the sub and keep posts within the spirit of the sub. (See above)
• be kind when you message the mods because ffs we spend hours doing this a day and it’s thankless completely thankless.
Just figured I’d share the perspective from the other side. It hurts me to have to ban models. It really does. But obvious inauthentic interaction is obvious.
You’re such a nice mod!! 🫶🏻
