Instagram has just implemented IP ban. If you have had an account banned on your IP address in the past, you COULD possible have your current accounts banned as well. I only share this information so that you can plan accordingly when making & using IG.
I had absolutely 0 knowledge or experience prior & I suppose Iāve āspoofedā it for 5 years because Iāve been using the same device thatās been banned for all my IGs & Iām still consistently having viral videos. I had also never heard of a ādevice IPā ban.
Right, I understand the difference in the two. Thatās why I use public WiFi when creating my accounts & then only use data to avoid any issues with my home IP (network) Also, yes you are exactly correct. It can & will affect others that try to create new accounts on that same IP (network) that is banned. This is the exact same for Reddit. I have had many IG accounts banned & have never had any issues with an IP ban (device) over the 5 years Iāve been using IG as my main source of promotion. This was also implemented just this month (what my original post is about)
Eh. Yes & no. This is not going to be the means that prevents you from making a new account.

This was just implemented this week. Itās an actual IP ban, not a device ban. IG also didnāt do device bans prior to this either. (Iāve had may IGs banned unfortunately) I just know better than to use my IP for my promo devices.
