I recently discovered that Instagram has a new (annoying) feature to combat spam. This feature automatically flags certain accounts as spam when they follow you. After 30 days it will remove them from your following list. This will screw over many NSFW creators as many of our followers are people on anonymous, empty accounts who appear to be spam. Luckily there’s a way to fix this! If you click on your “Following” list on your profile, at the top you’ll see a few options, scroll to the right of those options and you’ll see a new tab that says “Flagged”. You’ll need to look through these and individually confirm each account to not be spam. If you don’t do this, they will automatically be removed from your following in 30 days. Many of these accounts don’t even appear to be spam, you’ll find many accounts that have profile pictures and posts. It’s a wonder how they even got flagged in the first place. Do this and you should stop mysteriously losing so many followers. Check this tab frequently. I don’t see anyone talking about this new feature so please spread the word!
