I'm interested in starting to do collabs but I'd love to hear how it went for people their first time. How did you arrange it? How did you find the other creator? What did you discuss before hand? Etc! Thanks y'all
We just did our first set of collabs recently and it's been an eye opening experience! Here are a few takeaways off the top of my head:
1) Despite the fact that Collabs are the BEST way to grow your account (as fans love new, fresh faces), a lot of people are simply not open to them. Be prepared to hear a lot of "No"s and many times, not hear back at all. And that's ok. For those kind enough to respond with a no, be respectful and thank them for taking the time to reply.
2) In terms of finding them, simply browsing through reddit, twitter and instagram and perhaps searching for subs/keywords relating to your location will help. Another great resource is r/OnlyFansCollabs although it's mostly North American creators there.
3) Have a CLEAR game plan. If you're approaching someone to collab with, have a clear plan of action ready so you come across as more professional and the other person has more confidence in you since there's less ambiguity. What kind of content do you plan on shooting? How many scenes/videos do you have planned? Who's going to be recording & editing the content? Location? STI testing requirements and timeframe? and so on..
4) If you live in a location where there aren't many creators or the ones available aren't what you're looking for; be prepared to travel. We had to do this. And it was absolutely worth it. If you're lucky, that travel might involve a different city or state in your country.
5) Take some time to hang out with the person and get to know them instead of directly jumping into the shoot. It makes a HUGE difference to the chemistry and comfort in the scene. That said, know that there are some in the industry that are at such a point in their journey where they are almost robotically professional. They'll come, not talk much, shoot and leave. Don't take it personally. Sometimes, it could be that laser focus that makes them successful. Try your best to understand their position and work with them in the best way possible.
6) Hopefully, overtime, you're able to build up great friendships with the creators you vibe well with for something more longer term and ongoing. That's the dream!
Hope these were helpful! If you need any further insights, feel free to DM!
