I'm a novice when it comes to editing, so a lot of the time, I just take a billion pics and sift through the ones that come out really good or good enough, but I have been dabbling with editing a bit more. I was wondering how many of yall edit your pics and vids, and how much time do you spend doing it. Like if you film a ten minute video, do you rewatch that and edit it, or do you just make sure the quality is enough?
I know good editing is definitely must for big time OF gals, and I know good editing will definitely get you farther than just the top 30-ish%, but I was wondering just how important it is for a lot of people. I personally have a very low attention span, and rewatching my own content is very boring (even my art vids, I gotta do the 10x speed up before my brain can "care" about it). I'll usually skip around to make sure things are good overall, clip out what I need to, and then call it good. I'm debating on how much more effort I want to put into learning better editing skills, and how much I wanna make myself sit down to actually watch the full vids. I can definitely teach myself if I put in the effort, but how worth it is it to me personally? I'm not sure yet, so I wanted to get people's opinions and see how yall do things :p
(I also wanna look into better lighting to help with that as I don't have the best lighting atm, but that's for another time lol)
I mostly upload my pics the way they are with a few edits like crop, or adjusting some light to it with the inbuilt editor... But if I'm looking for something specific, I go for inshot at the best. I'd still use more of natural light and angles cz they work the best for me and I feel much confident about unedited ones. For videos Capcom to stabilise the vids and inshot have been really helpful!
