I abandoned my TikTok for a year after having a mental health issue - was going through something and realized the phrases I texted friends about it showed up in my feed, and I felt it was only making things worse for me. A few videos of mine went viral before my break. Literally just me jiggling my thighs got a video to 600k views, and I’m just under 7k followers still despite my break. Now that I’ve figured a safer work/life balance, I’m trying to build it back. I saw advice here recently to follow other adult creators on TikTok.

However… I have no idea what the current hashtags are for SW on TikTok. Most of my videos (even the viral thigh jiggles) have my cats featured or in the background. I have 4 cats, small apartment, it’s inevitable. So lately my growth is really based on how cute my cats are, and my FYP on TikTok is a lot of cats. TBH I do think having non work stuff to break up the feed and FYP is helpful for my mental health, so I’m not trying to avoid that. Making videos of me with my cats is helpful for days when my mental health is hard and it means I’m still putting out content on those days. Plus, a sad day can become reduced a sad few hours if I see a really funny or cute pet video.

I have no issues finding other creators on instagram. I also had a link shortener in my bio that was fine everywhere else (the app Milkshake) but TikTok made me remove it, so now none of my SW stuff is linked. Tiktok links to my instagram where the shortened link works fine. My bio mentions that I do spicy things too.

Also not sure if hashtags are useful on twitter anymore. I was never big on twitter, got my main hacked when Musk took over and never got it back, made a second profile and have been trying to engage since all that gets posted to my old one is auto posts from my sites 🥴

TLDR: took a break, my FYP is now mostly cats, what are the current TikTok hashtags to find other NSFW creators? Is X/Twitter still viable for growth?
