So I’m looking for the right printer for a first timer, I need auto bedlevelling, all metal hot end, direct extruder and a larger (300x300) or greater (pre 600x600) print volume.
Ease of use and reliabllity are the most important. Price, not so much.
I also need to be able to print in nylon, carbon fibre and glass PETG, ASA etc.
As such a UK company has recommended the CR-10 Smart Pro. However the reviews on YouTube aren’t inspiring. The Ender 3 S 1 Pro/Plus would be okay if the Pro had a Pro Volume or if the Plus could have an all metal hot end and the firmware could be modded to allow 300°C.
So back to the CR-10 Smart Pro; is there a 3rd party firmware that I can use that has the full Marlin 2.0 command set - especially the M600 colour filiament unload/load because multiple colours are a necessity for what I want to print.
Any advice would really be appreciated.
