Creality Halot-Mage Pro says it's printing but doesn't
Post Body

I'm really distressed over my new dream printer not working correctly so if anyone can help me out I'd be very appreciative.

I set up my Halot-Mage Pro and struggled through the Chinglish instructions and supplemented that with a few YT videos on it (I've been FDM printing for years but am new to SLA).

  • I unboxed it, removed all the packing material and the sticker on the release film.
  • Leveled the print bed (want to confirm that this is literally just press a button and watch it move to the very top then back down to the bottom, right?).
  • Filled it manually with resin before I figured out how the feed system worked and it pumped a bit more resin in.
  • Connected it to my very strong WiFi network and the Creality Cloud, updated the firmware, and tried to run a print.

The first few times I tried to send the job through the cloud it said it failed to send the job to the printer. Then it said that but the machine said it was printing but hung at layer 2 without ever moving. Then I tried using the USB stick and it also wouldn't actually print and/or the LCD would just freeze and become unresponsive. I then tried sending the job via the Creality app and it sent successfully and said it was printing. I was super stoked as according to the app and LCD it was progressing but I just found 6 hours later, as the first print was supposedly halfway done that the build plate was STILL at the very bottom.

I'm just so defeated and don't know what to do. I am using Creality standard resin and Chitubox Pro (stable), used the stock print settings, and just have no clue what to do from here.

The file: - Confirmed it is well within the build volume.

  • Added confirmed good STLs (printed fine on an FDM)
  • Added supports
  • Used the standard settings (screenshot here)

To try and give back just a ridiculously tiny bit here's a few prints I did (on my FDM printer, not designed by me) to make the H-L Pro better (I'd love to hear what you've upgraded/added: - Print Bed Drip Holder - Resin Bottle Cap w/ Feed System Tube Hole
