My third party GC controller recently kicked the bucket, so I'm looking for an alternative. Currently, I'm leaning towards a pro controller with a modded faceplate that has octagonal gates, more specifically this.
I read the reviews; it seems one potential flaw is that the gates are off from the true cardinal directions very slightly. Have any of you purchased and used one of these products, and if so, how did it do for you?
Otherwise, with what I currently know of the game, having stick inputs very slightly off from true cardinal directions shouldn't be an issue; everything I input should still come out correctly. I can't think of a way that this would really disadvantage me if the gates are slightly off. Does anyone know if this could be an issue?
Some important info: I'm not interested in a traditional GC controller solely because I use all 4 shoulder buttons and will not adjust to only using 3. That would be a big problem for how I currently play, unless there's a GC controller with paddles lol
