Please give advice and critique on my playing. I could really use some help.
Post Body

Hey everyone. I just wanted to ask for some match critique on a few of my matches if thatā€™s possible. I just need this to help and see what Iā€™m doing wrong, what right, and what I need to improve on. I did make some notes of what Iā€™m doing throughout the match and I may have missed a few points. Could you guys help me out?

I probably missed some other points and Iā€™d be glad if you guys could point out some of my other habits.

Offline and online being two different books, I completely forgot how online works, but I say I didnā€™t do too bad playing.

Match 1 v. Dark Samus

Match 2 v. Dark Samus

Match 3 v. Diddy Kong

My Notes

Dark Samus

-Gave up stage control to edge guard, only to be punished

-Instances where I tried to make guesses on what the opponent will do but ended up missing the window of opportunity.

-I kept recovering low at instances to make sure I wouldnā€™t burn my jump, but the player caught up on that, especially with me losing the last stock.

-My Rising Fair got one kill on stage, but thatā€™s not anyways going to save me with the time being.

-Did use tools to help aid with pseudo-edge guarding.

-Disregard Buffered Accidental Air-Dodge, it happens, just need to learn from that mistake.

-Mix up recovery off stage.

-Canā€™t burn resources, kept jumping on-stage after getting hit, resulting in getting hit with Dark Samusā€™ Fair.

Diddy Kong

-Options were all being covered, including roll, neutral get up, get up attack, and jump. What I couldā€™ve done would be a ledge drop -> banana grab when I was punished for ledge jump while the banana was on the ledge.

-First stock lost after neutral reset -Kept full hoping even though I noticed myself doing this, which the opponent realized this and punished me for this.

-Pressure was one thing for sure was the main focus the whole match, and I tried to apply it with ledge pressure, covering some instances of ledge jump to prevent my opponent from getting back to center stage -However, I still struggled with keeping my stock in terms of this area.

-Focus on what moves I can bring out, requiring that I want to be able to react to a move that wonā€™t be too laggy resulting in a hard punish.

-I did try to break having to worry about his projectiles by making them mine, at times that did work and Iā€™m glad I capitalized off of those instances.

Character Notes

-Limit-Charge miss-inputs -Tried canceling limit charge only to fire out a miss-inputted neutral-B -Sometimes I let Limit run out, or Iā€™m not paying attention to how much time I have left with it in my possession -Not once did I ever use D-smash, which is a good option to cover some options facing towards stage.

Overall

-Too aggressive, seemed like I just wanted the hit thinking it would connect. Yeah no, Smash is a game where youā€™ll have to capitalize on your opponentā€™s mistakes while making sure you minimize yours.

-My movement was somewhat where I want it to be, especially with the Dark Samus match 1, in terms of mixing up the opponent, but doing too much and I lose focus on keeping calm.

-Stay calm, holding shield at ledge wouldā€™ve been a way better option. After training offline I forgot completely that I have to play defensive.

-Overextension is a habit of mine that will lead me into breaking a positive neutral to a negative.

-Unnecessary rolls throughout my matches. I lost so many opportunities to react to my opponent

-Dash attack on shield will never work. I kept doing that not realizing that Iā€™m dumb for that.
