So, I'll get right to it: I don't shield.
I think it's mostly due to the fact that I played Smash 64 for YEARS without even knowing that shield was a button. So I just never did it. And now, it's not an issue of not knowing the button input -- it's more that I don't understand when to shield, and how to build up some muscle memory about instinctively shielding.
I'm aware that this is obviously a huge handicap, and pretty basic fighting-game stuff, but not-shielding is so ingrained in me that I don't even know how I would go about trying to learn the habit.
Any ideas?
