Don't Pass hedging strategy idea
Post Body

$200 Bankroll

Come out - $15 on DP with $1 on Yo
After Come out - $26 or $27 across (point not included).

Take two hits, then pull down your Don't Pass bet. The two hits and taken down DP make you already positive on the shooter. You are then vulnerable to a 7, but you are no longer betting against the point either. You will be positive $4 or more after these two hits and can either collect or press afterwards.

Pros:

Takes only 2 hits to be positive
Dont Pass protects against PSOs
Very versatile since no obligation on any bets after the come out roll.
You keep exposure to 5 numbers and can really rake it in on a good shooter.

Cons:

Come out rolls with a DP bet are brutal
DP is a winning bet after the come out, may not be smart to take it down
Hedging leads to kind of a boring and long playstyle.

The variant to this strategy is essentially just keeping the DP up and pressing the numbers after two hits. Maybe adding DP odds if you're feeling spicy.

Any thoughts? Mathematically it shouldn't be too hard to get 2 hits, but craps is craps. My ultimate goal is to find a strategy that doesn't get slaughtered by sevens, but also capitalizes on good rollers.
