All,

I usually buy in for $500 minimum, play the pass line, with full odds, and the 6 & 8, unless it's the point. Occasionally, will put a $2 two-way on the hard-way point--and always when I am shooting. Yes, the House has a big edge on those, but buying a little goodwill from the dealers is a good thing--superstition-wise.

I know that the probabilities are the probabilities, but I'm curious as to whether you readers "ease in" to the table, i.e., only play pass line (with no odds, or less than full odds) at first or go whole-hog.

When do you pull back? I look at my fellow players, and if a older gentleman who looks like he played craps in the Navy has the dice (or any lady shooter) I do not pull back. I tend to bet lower when someone with a low dollar amount in the tray has the dice. Of course, it's just superstition! But am curious to hear how others bet and play.
