Lighted effect tinting help
Post Body

I have done various cosplay props in the past but this is my first illuminated prop. It is a sci-fi pistol, remodeled from an old nerf gun that came equipped with a battery slot, red laser pointer, and clear plastic below the barrel that lights up red when the laser is on. My intention was to get it to light up blue(ish), without installing a whole new laser pointer inside. Does anyone have some advice with tinting plastic to get a more desired result (such as purple using a blue tint film)? Any comments or feedback is helpful before buying tinting material and just trying.
