I’m within a four minute walk to two outdoor Cox hotspots and I’m surrounded by Wi-Fi hotspot clusters, but I cannot connect to the hotspot from either my laptop or my wife’s laptop.

We’ve got data gaps and I’d rather binge watch stuff on my laptop using the Cox Wi-Fi hotspot. The option for the Cox hotspot shows up on both our iPhones, but it doesn’t show up as an available network on our laptops.

And of course, the frustrating part is if I use my phone and connected to the laptop, even though my phone says Cox Wi-Fi, I’m draining my data from my T-Mobile hotspot data

Any ideas? When I called Cox and escalated to a higher tier all I hear is there’s no support for hotspots.
