Hello - I am 30 years old with an underlying neuro condition. No one is exactly sure what is wrong with me. I've been a medical mystery since falling ill in 2011. I have idiopathic poly-neuropathy AKA my nerves are being destroyed but it's unknown what is causing it as I do not show signs of MS. I also am obese and have hypertension. I was lucky enough to receive the 1st dose of the vaccine this week.
I received the dose around 10am on the 13th. The shot itself hurt going in and the administrator pushed on the injection site immediately after injecting me. It hurt to the point that I was about to ask him to stop and he did so right before I had the chance. Around 4pm that afternoon I felt extremely tired and slept from around 5pm-10pm. Woke up feeling refreshed but with increased arm tenderness. I was unable to lay on my arm.
Jan 14th my arm was very sore at the injection site and a small lump had formed. I felt fine until around 5pm. At 5pm I started to feel discomfort throughout my body. I felt as if I was about to get very ill. I had a slight headache and I actually began to experience pain in my bicep/shoulder area on the opposite arm from the injection site. I took my temperature several times and did not ever develop a fever. I took 2 Tylenol and began to feel better. I took 3 benadryl to help me fall asleep.
Today, Jan 15th - I am feeling fine. My arm is significantly less sore at injection site. I have a penny sized lump at the injection site. I do not feel any of the discomfort I felt last night.
Wishing you all well!
