I struggle to perceive my reality, as I have some mental health issues, but I recently discovered what Covert Incest is, via a sociology of crime uni class. I just felt uncomfortable as the way I perceive my dad acting toward me matched with several of the signs. Not all of it is sexual in nature... but it does feel strange. I'll provide my examples down below:

- Must read my banking information and be able to see my purchases

- Not allowing me to get a lock on my door, even though my sister has one and so does my parents' bedroom

-Walking into my room, uninvited and without knocking, catching me in the thralls of masturbation, and buying me a sex toy after catching me.

-Not allowing me to buy my own car, even though I have the funds to do so

-Forcing an influx of chores and other typically "feminine" tasks, even though my sister doesn't have to do them

-Stopped having sex with my mom after I had my first menstruation

-Has made comments about my physical appearance and eating habits

-Enforcing a 'no dating' policy for me in high school and uni, though my sister does not have this rule

-Sitting in on my reproductive healthcare appointments and acts hurt and suspicious when he is asked to leave.

There are probably more behaviours that match what I have learned, but I am also prone to overreaction and gaslighting myself. Maybe he's just a strict parent. So is it CI?
