So I didn’t start watching Counting On until this season so I’m going back and watching old episodes - not necessarily in order, but Jinger just got engaged.
When Jill comes home from CA, Jenni is the first one to greet her - but she goes straight for Israel. Later in the episode when they’re all together Jordyn insists on carrying Spurgeon. (Ben even asked if she was sure she was alright carrying him.)
And then in the wedding dress episode for Joy (I think it was that one) when Jessa comes in the house, the first thing Jordyn did was grab one of the nephews.
I’m just curious if the younger buddies (namely Jenni and Jordyn since Jinger and Jana don’t have kids) view the nephews as more like their brothers, since they view their sisters as more like their Moms,
I know that that’s the way they’re raised, but in the first two moments, it was pretty clear that no one was handing the kids off and they were deliberately grabbing for them. I thought it was interesting both times it was their buddy sibling.
Calling Jordyn after Spurgeon was born to tell her the gender first is much more of a parent child thing than a sister thing. Also, did anyone notice that she told Jenni (I think it was Jenni) first after she hung up and then they told the family together? So sweet.
