Hello, I'm a 42 year old single mom with 2 school-aged kids. It's a bit unnerving to put yourself out here in hopes a random stranger will decide to reach out and they are, in fact, a good, authentic, and trustworthy person. Here's hoping that being vulnerable will work in our favor ^-^

I'm tentatively planning a trip to Chicago in December and would like to possibly get to know someone in the area beforehand so we could go out on the town for lunch, dinner, and/or sightseeing. I love to travel, but don't get to do it as often as I'd like.

Let's see, a bit about me, I'm 5'1", Black, curvy, love sci-fi/fantasy, anime, graphic novels, space and ocean documentaries, adore listening to someone's passions, love watching someone cook (and eating meals made with love), and can be a bit socially anxious/awkward but hope it becomes endearing ;p

I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for relationship-wise. I don't want a fling but I'd hope we can learn about one another and see what feels right - friendship or more. I also live abroad currently, so I won't be permanently stateside for at least a year. Even if something starts out online, I'd eventually like the possibility of being together in person. Through trial and error I've realized that I can't just do a long-term LDR without any contact.

Hmm, I'm not looking to "take care" of anyone financially and/or emotionally, perhaps fitting more into the fantasy-type ideas of a cougar or 'mommy.' I anticipate healthy reciprocation with understanding that our situations, responsibilities, and personalities may differ but communication can usually smooth away issues.

Above all, I just want to find someone to click with in a safe, relaxed, and fun way as we get to know one another. Thank you for reading this far. This is me :) It'd be nice if you could share a photo as well.
