I've been all over reddit, dating sites and other places. Looking for people to date, have a FWB or whatever, just wanting to have a chill interaction with one another. It didn't occur to me that I was encapsulating myself into this world of "Social media" and not realizing that it's way bigger than that. People can't tell my demeanor through a text or a picture. I know I'm smart, handsome and charismatic. I was reminded of that a few days ago. I was delivering packages and there's this one stop where this beautiful older woman would be at the front desk. I never really said much to her besides "hello, how are you?" and "Alright have a great day" as I'm leaving. On this day I decided to let her know how beautiful she was. So I go in and deliver my packages and before I left, I asked her, "Has anyone ever told you you look no older than 28?" IMMEDIATELY she starts blushing. She was like "No not at all! Thank you sweetheart!" I tell her she's welcome and I say to her "What's the secret? I don't see a gray hair in sight nor a wrinkle. Let me in on the secret.." Jokingly I say this, she laughs and jokes back and says "It's in my Genes" I say, "The ones you have on? Or?" We both laughed for a few minutes and she asked for my name and appreciated the kind words. I asked her who's the lucky man? I hinted around to me taking her out if she wasn't in a situation. So she's well aware lol. A few days later, I was delivering to a store and we end up running into each other again! She remembered my name and I immediately remembered hers as well. Me and her name started with a J. We exchanged small talk while I walked her to her car. Said salutations to each other and we parted ways. From that day on, I just felt great and it really reignited my confidence about myself. I know that in Georgia the ratio of women to men is overwhelming, and me as a 26 year old male really felt like the odds were in my favor lol. These dating apps are a facade lol. The chances of finding someone you can settle down with is so low, let alone finding a date in general. I still hang around here too, just lurking in the shadows. But all this just goes to show, I need to get back to my roots and show people who I am in person. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. 🤣🤣

TL:DR Realized dating apps aren't all that. Got better results in person talking to people.
