Hi, I am a 62F currently in a LDR with a 41 M. We met online (not through a dating app) and hit it off almost immediately, although I repeatedly discouraged him because of his age. He was very persistent however, and kept communicating with me. We have have met in person a few times, and sparks flew like I’ve never experienced before, so we are definitely compatible. He keeps telling me that he is “serious” about our relationship, but I have trouble believing that an LDR can be serious. We text throughout the day, and video call at night, almost nightly. We both work and live independent lives, but share our daily living experiences - both good and bad. I have tried to break things off with him several times, because of the distance, but we always end up back together. Am I being old-fashioned to think that this could never be a “real” relationship? Is this how some relationships begin today? As you can tell this is a new experience for me.
