I put a more details in this post on r/dating that it would help but I don't think it did: https://www.reddit.com/r/dating/comments/1aimuas/older_woman_into_me/
I'm just gonna summarize it real quick. I'm a 22m who thinks a 45f-ish co-worker is into me, but its always tricky due to the age gap. I can't tell if she is being friendly or being romantic
on the first time I met her:
- she was the first to approach me and try to joke with me.
- she's found out I was younger than her son, and seem upset by it. which just indicate that she was into me cause i can't figure out any other reason in this situation.
- she told me "you know, I can't wait to get home and take this..." she then pulls on her shirt, and motions it like she throwing it off. I believe she was trying to be sexy here but I couldn't tell if this is just how she act normally. she hasn't try to be sexy since then but I think it's because 1. she doesn't think I like her. 2. We haven't had been in a private setting since then.
some other signs include:
- she tries to talk to me every now and then. she even try complimenting my work shirt (our shirts have different sayings on it and she complimented the saying) which I found weird cause that's just a odd thing to compliment. I think she was just trying to find something nice to say about me.
- instead of me walking home from work, she wants to drive me home, and had said it on 2 different occasions. I believe this her way on trying to get closer and in a private area with me, or maybe she's just being nice
- she was upset when I told her i get off early. I asked why she was upset, and she claimed she don't like talking to the other co-workers This one is obvious. She enjoy talking to me and doesn't want me leave her at work. and I do notice she really only makes the effort to try and talk to me.
- straight up told my boss that she likes me but idk if she meant platonically or romantically.
- mention she is divorced on 2 different occasions, in which I never really asked. (TBF, I didn't expect her to be divorced.)
But I am interested in her and been really wanting to ask for her phone number, but I am nervous due to the age gap, and I might be reading the signs wrong and don't want to embarrass myself in front of her. Do you guys think she likes me and I have a chance and should ask for her number? Any other tips?
P.S. I been also wanting to leave this job sometime soon, so please do not give me "Never shit where you eat".
