So I’ve been contemplating the nature of creatures with Gem hearts on roshar, would they face the same issue as high Spren if they left roshar, would say a chasmfiends gravity reduction just wear out once they began to run out of stormlight? Could the spren within be able to metabolize other investiture to survive like Vasher does? Does being in a body allow the spren to live truly symbiotically, not needing stormlight. We’ve see that chitin and gem hearts seal investiture completely with no leaks as opposed to human skin which is too porous, so it makes me wonder with when gem heart bonded creatures take on investiture other than than the spren themselves are they sealed vessels?

And all of this extends to Listeners as well.
