I know I’m late to the party but I’m one of those peasants buying the trade editions 3 months behind everyone else.
FAIR WARNING. MAJOR SPOILERS!
Just finished Tress and I must say it was superb. Hoid was outstanding, can’t wait to read his story (as mentioned by BS in the postscript). I loved how strong of a character Tress was. She wasn’t always brave and strong and she wasn’t always scared or weak…she just felt human and totally relatable. It’s always great to have a really genuinely well written female lead. I must say I had suspicions that Charlie was actually Huck waaaay before the end but by the time we got to the tower I knew. Didn’t detract from the ending though. I loved Hoid’s last minute heroics and the crew coming through for Tress. A happy ending! I can’t wait to show my daughter this book when she is old enough. I think I might use this as her introduction to Brandon.
