Dealer called me to offer me an allocation. They insisted I had to submit my build today (June 29) for a 2023 corvette. In the rush I didn’t realize the 2024 corvette has so many extra safety features. They told me I could change small options like color on Tuesday but major options (like the HTC) are locked in. Is there any way to delay things to get a 2024 model instead? I know price will rise but The safety features are really important to me. I’d rather restart from the bottom of the list at another dealer than get a car missing safety features.
Dealer said it can’t be cancelled and just to take it and trade it in for a new one and id probably break even . But I’m not sure who would pay new corvette prices for a used one (even with no miles) when they can be readily ordered for MSRP
