The issue with this virus people don't get here is that human population face minor outbreaks of new viruses quite often. And elaborating an impact scenario based on data means you can't be deterministic and can't claim at the beginning of any outbreak "this virus is gonna go pandemic"... WHO said "hey look new virus!" governements and everyone though "this is china what hurts them benefits us". People worldwide really start caring when Italy went over 1000, less than an incubation time after which the same people through "shit, we made a mistake, let's cover it :" look what china just did! ""
