I wear a mask because I don’t get paid in my job if I am away sick. Plus I hate getting ill.

I am in Brisbane, and most places I go, often I am the only one wearing a mask. Numbers are surging. I want to ask people who are without masks what their reasoning is? No judgement, just genuinely curious.

EDIT: thanks. your answers are a really interesting cross-section of views, and really clarified for me the multitude of reasons people have chosen both wearing and not wearing masks. I hope that choosing either will become uncontroversial in future, but who knows?
