I come to this sub for a summary of the news. I can scroll past the pedestrian and inflammatory rubbish and filter down to some current information that is important.
But it is a bloody hot mess of a sub to be honest. Following on from the post a couple of days ago about the polarised discussion on here, I am so sick of the 'antivax' and 'antirestriction', and the 'hypervax' and the 'hyperanxious' people screaming at me and other people.
Is there a better sub to get the info I'm after and engage in moderate discussion?
I don't want to be screamed at and name called for expressing frustration with government ineptitude at a state and federal level (including state Labor! - DAndrews can bugger off with his secrecy, blame shifting, incompetence - but I will not vote Liberal, so what's a boy to do?). I don't want to be sweared at for questioning questionable things. I don't want to be labeled a nefarious, sooky, stupid piece of shit for wanting some level of personal choice about my health, risk assessment, privacy, or movement.
As a healthy, not-too-old-yet, vaccinated, no-lockdown-unless-the-world-is-literally-ending, mask-neutral, vaccine booster avoidant, mostly compliant (in the biggest, most social but not the less, solo, remote ways) person - I would like to be able to engage in some discussion about this serious issue that is greatly affecting my life, my choices, my health (mental and possibly physical), my freedom, and my overall well-being without being fucking ridiculed by a bunch of know-it-alls who actually don't-know-that-much-and-assume-a-shitload-about-me.
