I’ve just gotten off the phone to RACV, They’re putting my car loan on hold for three months without any added fees etc, all they’re doing is putting a stop to the payments at the moment and adding them onto the end of my loan payment period. They’re assessing the situation at the end of the three months and will extend it if the situation is still bad. All you need to do is call and explain you are under hardship because of covid-19/being stood down from work, and they’ll email you a hardship form to complete. Unsure of RACV insurance just yet, I still need to call them. Thought we could use this space to share companies/banks etc helping those affected by putting a hold to payments
