I am travelling to Canada and have filled out the ArriveCan app. I noticed the app showing a notification that i do not have a "mandatory hotel booking" even though it states on the govt. website that we can stay with family. Wondering if anyone had any trouble not showing proof of a hotel booking to boarder agents? I also will not have enough time to get approved for compassionate entry as it takes 7 days for approval and attending a funeral on Sunday, but do have all the other documentation needed. Has anyone been granted entry even without approval of compassionate entry?
