Hi Reddit, I'm Nsikan Akpan, a science editor at National Geographic covering the COVID-19 outbreak. I hold a Ph.D. in pathobiology (a field devoted to studying the basic mechanisms of disease) from Columbia University, where I studied neurological disorders.
